Driver of Sefton licensed minicab arrested for drug supply offences and money laundering

Police officers in Sefton have arrested a private hire vehicle driver for drug supply offences and money laundering.
Sefton Police officers arrested the 42-year-old man from the Formby area after sighting a drug transaction in the Crosby area involving a private hire vehicle.
The Sefton licensed private hire vehicle was later stopped and the driver detained. During a search of the vehicle numerous wraps of suspected cocaine were recovered.
Officers then searched an associated address of the man in Formby and found a large amount of white powder, approximately £1,200 in cash, a large amount of cannabis and 14 cannabis plants.
Also seized were numerous weapons located within the property.
The male remains in custody and will be interviewed by detectives later today.
