Wind Mobility, the e-scooter sharing company operating the trial scheme in Nottingham, has organised a safety event to educate users on safe riding practices and parking rules for Wind e-scooters.

The event took place on Wednesday, 20 October, between 12:00pm and 3pm at the Victoria Embankment, where a team from Wind Mobility took to the ground with a number of Wind e-scooters to educate anyone who was interested to learn more about the vehicles and its safety features and how to ride and park scooters in a safe and responsible manner.

The local Wind team also handed out safety equipment allowing anyone who wanted to test ride a scooter to do so.

The team also provided information on how to safely ride e-scooters especially during the fall and winter season.

Lukasz Rybak, City Operations Manager, said: “These events are part of our commitment to the people of Nottingham and Nottingham City Council to ensure the safety of the e-scooter trial and to educate users about safe riding and responsible parking. We frequently remind users to stay off the pavement and to only park scooters in the designated parking bays.

"The in-person events that are to be held on a regular basis in Nottingham’s city centre complement our user education efforts via the Wind app and through our social media channels and we genuinely invite everyone to stop and join us.”
