An incident involving a private hire vehicle (PHV) and a minibus prompted action from the Edinburgh Roads Police.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland Roads revealed that the collision in Corstorphine, which resulted in injuries, prompted a driver of one of the vehicles to be reported to the court for several offences.

Images circulating in the aftermath depict the licensed PHV stopped on the incorrect side of the road, with the minibus also visible in the scene. Despite the concerning circumstances, authorities confirmed that, fortunately, there were no serious injuries as a result of the incident.

The case now moves to the courts, where the driver will face the reported charges.

A Police Scotland Roads spokesperson said: “Edinburgh Roads Police attended an injury collision today in Corstorphine, the driver of one vehicle has been reported to the court for a number of offences. Thankfully no-one was seriously hurt.”
