Taxi and private hire drivers in Elmbridge are being urged to give their feedback on proposed changes to the borough’s licensing policy.
Elmbridge Borough Council is reviewing its taxi and private hire licensing policy as part of a regular five-year cycle. The current policy, published in 2020, is now under review to keep it up to date with current practices and regulations.
The council has launched a consultation aimed at drivers, operators and passengers to gather views on any suggested revisions. All responses must be submitted before the consultation closes at midnight on 31 August.
The licensing policy outlines how the council regulates the local taxi and private hire trade, covering matters such as vehicle standards, driver conduct, and enforcement.
Anyone wishing to have their say can visit the consultation platform at https://taxilicensingpolicy.commonplace.is.
