ENGIE offer electric vehicle charge points free to use for ALL key workers during COVID-19

.

ENGIE has today announced that their nationwide GeniePoint Network will be free to use for ALL Key Workers during the COVID-19 crisis.

The electric vehicle charge point firm are showing their support and appreciation by offering free electricity both to existing GeniePoint Network drivers as well as new registrations, to key workers operating in critical roles during the pandemic.

All public chargers on the GeniePoint Network will be included in this provision – EV drivers should visit www.geniepoint.co.uk to see the nationwide map of chargers, and to sign up to the GeniePoint Network if not already registered.

The offer will also extend to drivers registered on the Revive charging network in the South West of England, and the Dragon Charging Network in Wales.

The Government’s list of key workers includes:

  • Health & Social Care

  • Education & Childcare

  • Key public services

  • Local & national government

  • Food & other necessary goods distribution

  • Public safety & national security

  • Transport

  • Utilities, communication & financial services.

For drivers already on the GeniePoint Network you will need to register your account for free charging during this period by emailing GeniePoint Network at geniepointsupport@engie.com and with the following details:

  • Registered name:

  • Registered email address:

  • Key worker role:

Once they receive the email, it may take up to 48 hours for the changes to apply.

For those not on the network, the UK charging firm are asking drivers to visit www.geniepoint.co.uk and register for a GeniePoint Network account. Once you have registered, send details of your account as above to: geniepointsupport@engie.com.

Further details can be found at: www.evsolutions.engie.co.uk. The energy firm are asking people to NOT call the Customer Services number, as the lines are expected to be busy at this time and priority is for drivers requiring assistance at chargers.
