Sherbet West London Taxi Centre has completed its first MOT test, marking a new stage in the development of the facility as it continues to expand services for London’s black cab trade.
The milestone, announced by Michael Eades of Sherbet West London, described the achievement as “another big moment this week” for the centre.
According to Eades, the facility successfully carried out its first MOT inspection, with a taxi operated by a driver named Ahmed becoming the first vehicle to pass through the MOT bay.
Eades said: “We were proud to complete our very first MOT.” He added: “A big thank you to Ahmed, whose taxi became the first vehicle to pass through our MOT bay. We truly appreciate your support and look forward to welcoming many more drivers through our doors.”
Sherbet West London Taxi Centre has carried out its first MOT test, marking another operational milestone as the facility broadens support services for London taxi drivers.
The completion of the first MOT represents an operational expansion for the centre, which is seeking to provide a wider range of services to licensed taxi drivers in west London. Access to maintenance, testing and vehicle support facilities remains an important part of keeping London’s taxi fleet on the road and compliant with licensing requirements.
Sherbet has long been associated with the London taxi industry through vehicle rental, fleet services and mobile media. The addition of MOT testing capability provides another service option for drivers managing vehicle maintenance and annual compliance obligations.
The first MOT certificate was presented by Jacob Moses, who took part in marking the occasion alongside Ahmed at the centre. Eades described the handover as an important milestone for the business.
