Five arrested after taxi stolen at knifepoint by an armed West Midlands gang crashes.
The driver of the Silver VW Passat was left shaken by carjackers wielding a terrifying machete late on Monday 28 June.
The stolen car was quickly reported and spotted by police officers in the Solihull area.
Soon after the vehicle crashed into another vehicle. Police officers arrested all five occupants and also seized the huge machete knife.
West Midlands Police Force Response unit said: “Another great result for A-Unit Stechford last night. This VW Passat had been stolen in a knife point robbery from a Taxi driver in Solihull.
“Sighted by us soon after and crashed. All 5 occupants detained and the weapon was recovered, over to @DetectivesWMP”
