Flag, the taxi insurance brand operated by Acorn Group, has unveiled a new brand identity and redesigned website as it looks to build on a record year for policy growth and improve the customer experience for taxi drivers shopping for insurance.
The refresh, announced on 28 July, follows what the business described as its strongest year for policy count growth in 2025. The broker said the new identity has been developed to reflect how customers now buy insurance, while providing a stronger platform for future expansion. The redesigned website includes simplified navigation, clearer product information and a more streamlined online journey.
Founded in Bracknell in 2006, Flag Insurance (Brokers) specialises in insurance for taxi drivers and their vehicles. The business forms part of Acorn Group, which has provided non-standard insurance products since 1982, with taxi insurance remaining one of the group’s longest-established markets.
Ash Coakley, Head of Taxi at Acorn Group, said: “Taxi is part of our heritage, but it’s also a big part of our future. Following our strongest year for policy count growth in 2025, the Flag rebrand gives us the chance to build on that momentum, evolve and reinvest in our customers, making sure their journey with Flag is clearer, smoother and built around how they actually buy insurance today.”
The updated branding includes a new logo featuring a modern interpretation of a traditional taxi roof light, reinforcing the broker’s focus on the licensed taxi sector. Flag has also retained its distinctive blackcurrant colour, building on the recognition established through its previous purple branding.
The changes reflect continued investment in the taxi insurance market as brokers compete to improve digital services and simplify the purchasing process for professional drivers seeking cover.
