FOLLOWED AND ABUSED: Police appeal for witnesses following road rage incident on York taxi driver



North Yorkshire Police are calling for witnesses following a road rage incident in York.


The incident took place on Monday 6 May 2024, at 11:20am. The confrontation began on Crombie Avenue and continued to Wigginton Road, near the entrance to York District Hospital.

A man driving a Ford Mondeo is reported to have followed a taxi, issuing verbal threats and causing damage to the vehicle.


Given the time of the incident, the area was crowded with motorists and pedestrians. Police are urging anyone who was present, particularly those with dashcam footage, to assist in the investigation.
