Former British sprinter Jeanette Kwakye took her first Uber trip since February, and has been left wondering why her driver took such a huge detour around the M25.

Using her official Twitter account to share her journey, Kwakye wrote: “First time back in an @UberUKsupport since February. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!!”

The journey, which could have been completed with a simple ride eastbound using the North Circular A406, was instead driven up to the M25.

The driver first headed anti-clockwise, and then it appears they were forced to turn back and head clockwise back along the M25 in the correct direction.

A route off the M25 down the M11 was then taken, heading into the north of London to Kwakye’s desired destination.

In 2008, Kwakye became the first British woman to reach the Olympic 100 metres final since Heather Oakes back in 1984.
