Four men arrested in connection with the murder of a taxi driver in Dudley
Four men have been arrested in connection with the murder of taxi driver Mohammed Haroon Zeb.
Mr Zeb, known locally as Haroon, was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being shot in Queens Cross just after 12.35am.
A post mortem found he died of a gun shot wound.
A 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and has been released pending further enquires.
Three men, aged 19, 25 and 26, have been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice. They are currently in custody.
The police investigation continues at pace as they try and establish exactly what happened.
However, the force still need your help. They're asking anyone with any information, no matter how insignificant you may feel it is, to get in touch as soon as you can.
They know a man flagged down local officers in the area, just after Haroon was shot and are still really keen to speak to him.
They’re also asking for anyone with any dashcam footage to contact them.
Detective Chief Inspector Jim Munro, from the homicide team, said: “These arrests are a significant development as our investigation continues at pace.
"However, I still need anyone with information to get in touch as soon as possible.
"Haroon’s death is tragic, my thoughts are with his family and friends at this very sad time."
