Free Taxi Now Knowledge school prepares to launch with all 320 Blue Book runs and more than 90 students signed up

Taxi Now Academy is preparing to launch a free digital training platform for aspiring London taxi drivers on 1 October 2026, according to a Taxi Now spokesperson.
The academy will provide access to all 320 Blue Book runs, together with associated link runs and reverse runs. Each route will be presented turn by turn to support students working towards completing the Knowledge of London.
Its TNA Revision App will include tap-to-reveal run revision, thousands of points of interest with live address information and quarter-mile revision exercises. Students will also be able to revise by postcode and complete road-based quizzes.
A separate “dropped points” function will record locations or questions that students have marked as not known. These can then be studied independently, allowing candidates to concentrate on weaker areas ahead of Knowledge appearances.
The platform will also offer video call-over sessions, with students matched to a partner at a similar stage of their training. Teacher-led classes will be available through a booking calendar, with four teachers currently attached to the academy.
Taxi Now Academy said its Daily Sheets will contain appearance runs and drop points shared by students after Knowledge appearances. The approach is intended to keep revision material aligned with the routes and locations being raised during the examination process.
The academy said every service will be available free of charge, with no subscription required. This includes access to the route material, revision app, online call-overs and booked classes.
More than 90 students have already registered ahead of the October launch, according to the spokesperson. The early uptake suggests demand for a no-cost training option at a time when prospective taxi drivers must balance the length and expense of completing the Knowledge against the commercial prospects of entering the London black-cab trade.
