FREE NOW will support Taxi Charity by matching tips given to cab drivers on Remembrance Sunday
FREE NOW has announced today a charitable campaign through which the company will be matching any tips given to black cab drivers through the app across the UK on Remembrance Sunday.
The proceeds from Remembrance Sunday on 13 November will be donated to The Taxi Charity for Military Veterans, supporting a cause that is very close to black cab drivers' hearts and which FREE NOW supported in previous years.
The Taxi Charity for Military Veterans plays a crucial role in society by providing support to veterans from all conflicts by providing entertainment, outings and trips to commemorations on the continent.
FREE NOW has consistently raised funds for this cause with the help of caring black cab drivers and passengers. This year the company is once again committed to turning this campaign into a success.
Mariusz Zabrocki, General Manager of FREE NOW UK, said: “We are delighted to launch this charitable campaign to continue to support the Taxi Charity for Military Veterans on Remembrance Sunday. We will be actively encouraging passengers to contribute and together we can help this charity to continue to provide the much needed support to veterans and their families.”
A spokesman for the Taxi Charity for Military Veterans said: “The generosity of spirit demonstrated by volunteer cab drivers never fails to impress.”
