TOP 9 EV and Fleet predictions for 2023

  1. 5-minute EV charging and innovation in battery management will accelerate—from battery swapping to off-street charging.

  2. Electric vehicle growing pains will be overcome, as countries around the world put deadlines in place to ban diesel and petrol vehicles from our roads; EV vehicles will eventually overtake traditional fuel models.

  3. The cost of energy crisis risks slowing the transition to electric as cost-of-ownership increases.

  4. Supply chain constraints exacerbated by silicon shortage to alleviate EV supply.

  5. Charging infrastructure improvements from additional government investments, and campaigns for tax reductions.

  6. Government incentives will continue to be vital to driving EV adoption at scale.

  7. More focus on EVs in the B2B market, from deliveries to public sector fleets.

  8. An increased shift toward shared vehicle ownership across company cars and fleets, further driving sustainability efforts and reducing road congestion.

  9. In the next 5-10 years we’ll see a shift in vehicle ownership and shared mobility. This could result in more shared ownership across company cars and fleets – which will help with sustainability efforts thanks to fewer vehicles on the road.
