GMB and TfL collaborate to hand out PPE to taxi and private hire drivers in London

GMB London are to work in collaboration with Transport for London (TfL) to help distribute COVID-19 PPE for licensed taxi and Private Hire (PH) drivers.

From the car park at GMB office premises in Hendon, staff will be distributing face masks, sanitiser and passenger-facing message notices to drivers.

London’s taxi and private hire drivers received news of the additional support from TfL on 4 December. Approximately 1.5 million face masks and 30,000 bottles of Dettol hand sanitiser will be offered to drivers.

Collection of supplies will be available for licensed drivers from 10am to 3pm on Monday 21 December and will be operational as a drive through using GMB’s Hendon car park.
