
Greater Manchester Police are appealing for information after a firearms discharge in Eccles, Salford.
At around 10pm on Sunday 8 December, police were called to Church Street, Eccles to reports of a firearms discharge at local private hire firm Swan Minicabs.
The offender was described as a man wearing dark clothing and is believed to have made off in a grey people carrier.
No one was injured and no arrests have yet been made. Enquiries are ongoing.
Detective Inspector Joanne Kay, of the Salford district, said: “Fortunately no one was hurt in this instance; however I would like to reassure the public that we are treating this crime very seriously and are doing all we can to find those responsible.
“I am particularly keen to speak to anyone that was on or around Church Street at the time of this incident and may have heard or seen anything unusual or suspicious.”

In a Facebook post, Swan Minicabs said: "Hi everyone, thank you for all your messages and calls we are still waiting for the police to get back to us. They are not sure if it was just someone messing about or some kind of attempted robbery."
