‘I WAS TIRED’: Police arrest northwest black cab driver after crashing drunk

A taxi driver who crashed his black cab in the North West blaming TIREDNESS as the reason, was arrested after officers found the cabbie to be over the legal alcohol limit.

NW Motorway Police officers arrested the driver after blowing 85 on the roadside breath test. 35 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath is the legal UK limit.

The driver of the Ford black cab was taken to custody.

A NW Motorway Police spokesperson said: “Driver crashed his vehicle, blamed tiredness then blew 85 at the road side - off to custody for the station procedure and vehicle taken to duty garage.”
