Two Leeds lads were left gob-smacked when the Uber trip they booked ended up taking them to Liverpool after the wrong address was entered into the app.

Olly England and his friend Jamie Baxter were ready to head back to their local address in Leeds after a night out, when they accidentally entered an address matching the same road name in Liverpool.

A journey which should have taken just over 15 minutes, ended up 2 hours long.

Having fallen asleep in the vehicle, 80 miles later and £210 lighter, the two lads realised their mistake.

The costly blunder didn't end there. The lads then needed to get back to Leeds. As reported by Leeds Live, the two attempted to order another Uber back, priced at £160.

Fortunately for them they were able to get a lower price for their trip home from a local taxi driver who offered the ride for £110.

So all in all, the complete cost of the blunder came to a whopping £320.
