Liverpool Council announce coronavirus tests for taxi & PHV drivers after local COVID-19 outbreak

Liverpool City Council (LCC) have announced available coronavirus testing for any hackney carriage taxi drivers and private hire drivers who are, or have been, operating in Princes Park/Toxteth area.

The announcement comes after a latest wave of COVID-19 cases in the area.

A spokesperson for LCC, said: "There is an outbreak of COVID-19 in Princes Park/Toxteth Park area.

"To all HCV and PHV drivers who may operate in this area, we are now offering coronavirus tests to any driver at Wavertree Sports Park, Wellington Road."

Drivers who want a test are being advised to visit the NHS website to book an appointment.
