London licensed Uber driver caught speeding with a fare on board by Roads Policing Unit

A London licensed private hire driver, allegedly working on the Uber ride-sharing platform, has been slammed by Essex Roads Policing Unit for speeding with a fare on board.

The driver of the black Toyota Prius was caught driving at excessive speeds on the M11 Harlow around midnight of 6 July.

The offender was pulled into the hard shoulder by officers who issued a speeding ticket.

A spokesperson for Essex Roads Policing Unit, @EP_RPU_South, said: "M11 Harlow. This Uber driver thinks it is acceptable to drive at excess speed as he has a fare on board. It is not! GB/MA #fatal4 @EPRoadspolicing."
