London taxi and PHV drivers thanked by Transport for London for efforts during King’s Coronation

London taxi drivers have been thanked by Transport for London (TfL) for their contribution to the smooth running of the King's Coronation weekend, held last week.

Transport for London's General Manager for Taxi & Private Hire, Graham Robinson, conveyed the transport regulator’s gratitude in a message sent to all drivers this week.

The Coronation weekend saw thousands of visitors and locals flock to the city, as the newly crowned King and his family took part in a historic procession through the streets of London.

Robinson said: “Thank you to all drivers and stakeholders who were involved in safely transporting passengers to and from events over the past weekend.

“The eyes of the world were upon us during this event, and your efforts helped to ensure the success of this historic occasion.”
