A taxi driver from Spain’s Las Palmas de Gran Canaria was lucky to escape serious injuries after his cab PLUMMETED onto the roof of a building five-metres below.

The Local Police force of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria shared images of the stricken cab upside down crashed onto the ongoing construction of the building below.

The incident occurred on Friday 2 September where it remains unknown how the taxi flipped itself onto the building site below.

According to the local sources, the incident happened on the Canary Island’s Calle Panco Guerra area. The driver miraculously escaped without injury.

Emergency services rushed to the scene of the reported incident on Friday morning.

According to EuroWeekly, sources say the cabbie first refused to be taken to a nearby medical centre to get checked over after receiving attention from paramedics at the scene. After the medics departed, Police officers called the medics back after becoming concerned the driver was feeling dizzy.
