A Scottish taxi driver had a lucky escape as a 'brick' smashes through cab windows, narrowly missing the driver's head.
The driver was said to be sitting on a rank in Dalkeith when the rock smashed through both the driver and front passenger windows.
An image of a large stone lying on the floor was posted on the Swift Taxis Facebook page, who appealed for help to find the person responsible. The taxi firm also posted pictures of the damage caused to the windows.
A Swift Taxis spokesperson wrote on Sunday via social media: “If anyone has any information on the idiot who put a brick through one of Swift Taxis windows just missing the drivers head last night, while he sat on Dalkeith rank, smashing both driver and passengers window as brick was thrown with some force.
“Let us or Dalkeith police station know please, police are hoping to look at cctv but this can take a while.”
According to Police Scotland: “An 18-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident and appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, 3 February, 2020."
