Wiltshire Police Specialist Operations team intercepted an Audi driver for dangerous driving. The incident began when the driver tailgated the police vehicle, subsequently moving on to intimidate another car on the road.

The situation escalated further when the driver, upon finding a clear stretch of road, accelerated to a high speed of 128mph.

Wiltshire Police officers quickly intervened, stopping the vehicle and reporting the driver to court for the offence.

The Audi driver now faces legal consequences, which may include fines, points on their licence, or even a driving ban, depending on the court's decision. Tailgating and speeding not only endangers the driver but also poses significant risks to other road users.

A Wiltshire Police Specialist Ops spokesperson said on social media: “Saturday morning and this Audi driver caught our attention by tailgating us, then moved on to intimidate the vehicle pictured.

“Once it got some clear airspace ahead, they wound it on to a somewhat excessive 128mph before being stopped and reported to Court.”
