The next Magical Taxi Tour will take place from 25 to 27 September 2026, organisers have confirmed, as licensed London taxi drivers prepare to once again transport children with chronic and life-limiting conditions to Disneyland Paris.
The annual event, organised by The Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers, sees a convoy of black cabs travel from London to the French theme park for a three-day trip. The initiative provides children suffering from a range of serious illnesses with what organisers describe as “a three-day trip of a lifetime to Disney Paris”.
According to the organisers, the event relies on sponsorship and personal donations to meet costs estimated at £1,750 per taxi. That funding covers hotel accommodation, fuel, food and admission charges for the children and their accompanying families.
Drivers volunteer both their time and vehicles, with no participants receiving payment. “The taxi drivers naturally give freely of their time and use of their vehicles – everyone on the trip is a volunteer,” the organisers state.
