Man arrested after taxi driver left in critical condition following road-rage incident

Police officers have arrested a man after a taxi driver from the West Midlands was left in a critical condition following a suspected road-rage incident.
According to police sources, a 45-year-old cab driver sustained serious head injuries after he was knocked to the ground in Oakhurst Road on Saturday 11 June.
West Midlands Police have confirmed they have arrested a man following the incident and are pleading for help with their inquiries.
A spokesperson from West Midlands Police said: "A man has been arrested after a taxi driver was seriously injured following an assault on Oakhurst Road in the early hours of Saturday morning (11 June).
"The 23-year-old was arrested this morning on suspicion of assault and remains in police custody. The taxi driver, a 45-year-old man remains in hospital in a serious condition.
"We are exploring CCTV in the area and have spoken to witnesses, but we believe there were more people who saw what happened and haven’t spoken to us.”
