A 40-year-old man has sadly died after a horror crash near London's Heathrow Airport.

The incident took place at Junction 4 of the M4, northbound carriageway on 20 February.

Traffic cameras appear to show a Transport for London licensed private hire red Toyota Prius badly damaged at the scene of the collision.

Metropolitan Police confirmed that a man in his 40's was pronounced dead at the scene by an air ambulance doctor. His next-of-kin have been informed.

Another man, also in his 40's, was injured during the collision, but reports suggest his condition is not life-threatening.

A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said: "We dispatched two ambulance crews, an incident response officer and two medics in cars to the scene.

"We also dispatched London's Air Ambulance trauma team.

"Sadly, despite efforts of medics, a person died at the scene. We treated a further person at the scene and took them to hospital."
