Man found with facial injuries after taking taxi home from Liverpool night out

Police officers are appealing for information after a 23-year-old man was found in a street in Liverpool with facial injuries.

The man was found injured in Hillfoot Avenue, Hunt Cross by a member of the public at around 12.30am on Saturday 12 September.

According to Merseyside Police sources, the man had been out in Liverpool city centre with friends prior to being found and is believed to have taken a taxi journey to the Hunts Cross area. He was taken to hospital for treatment for injuries to his face and scratches, cuts and bruising to his body.

An investigation is now underway and CCTV enquiries are being carried out to establish the circumstances of what took place.
