Mantax, the long-serving premium black cab operator in Manchester, has officially rebranded to ComCab Manchester. The move aligns the company with the wider ComCab network, already active in several UK cities.
The firm operates the largest fleet of hackney carriages in Manchester and continues to provide its service with licensed drivers known for their local knowledge.
The rebrand introduces app and web booking options for customers, allowing both scheduled and on-demand journeys. The service includes real-time tracking, helping passengers see live updates on vehicle availability and location.
On the streets, taxis will now carry updated ComCab Manchester signage. This ensures passengers can clearly identify authorised vehicles before getting in.
The rebrand is part of a wider investment into Manchester’s transport system. It aims to improve vehicle availability, cut down waiting times and support joined-up travel through the broader ComCab network.
Passengers can access the service through the new ComCab Manchester app, available on both iPhone and Android. Online bookings can also be made at https://book.comcab-manchester.taxi/.
ComCab Manchester is part of CityFleet Networks Limited, which operates under ComfortDelGro, a global land transport group headquartered in Singapore.
Karen Long, Northwest Regional General Manager, said: “This rebrand and integration into the wider ComCab network marks a significant milestone in our commitment to delivering a safe, seamless, and trusted service both locally and nationally.
“Benefitting from enhanced booking options, real-time tracking, and increased connectivity between Manchester and Liverpool, this change reflects our vision for a modern, integrated transport solution that meets the evolving needs of the communities we serve.”
