MIDDLE LANE MOTORWAY MENACE: Police seize electric vehicle travelling 30mph on M6

In a bizarre incident, Lancashire Roads Police were alerted to multiple calls about a peculiar sight travelling on the motorway.

A vehicle which looked like an electric mobility scooter, equipped with a delivery box, was spotted cruising along at 30mph in the second lane of the M6, heading onto the M61. In response to the reports, officers promptly sprang into action to address the unusual situation.

A spokesperson from the Lancashire Roads Police stated: “Multiple calls of a vehicle in lane 2 of the M6, onto the M61 this morning travelling at 30mph. Vehicle located, driver reported and vehicle seized.”
