Minicab driver and passenger ‘unbelievably’ walk away unhurt after collision with lamppost

A private hire driver and the passenger onboard ‘unbelievably’ walked away unhurt after the vehicle flipped onto its roof in Great Mancheter on Friday.


Greater Manchester Police (GMP) officers shared details of the one vehicle road traffic collision on Lightbrowne Road, Moston, on Friday 22 July.

Images shared show a local minicab upside down with the contents of the car scattered on the road surface. The silver private hire vehicle had also collided with a lamppost in the process of the incident.


A Greater Manchester Police Traffic spokesperson said: “Patrols attended a one vehicle RTC, vehicle over turned on Lightbowne Road, Moston, earlier this afternoon.

“Unbelievably no injuries to driver or Passenger. Driver reported.


“Street light was 1 day old. Vehicle now recovered.”
