Minicab left stranded on BELL BOLLARD outside busy London train station
A private hire vehicle in London embarrassingly got STRANDED outside one of the capital’s busiest train stations.
An image of the black Volkswagen minicab was shared across social media clearly impaled on a bell safety bollard outside London Bridge Station.
A bewildered London cabbie snapped the car stuck on the junction of Tooley Street and Duke Street Hill just south of the river.
One person commented that it was not the first vehicle seen stuck in a similar scenario at the same location.
Bell bollards are used to protect pedestrians and buildings from heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) in carefully selected locations. The unique design usually deflects cars and lorries away from the pavement and back onto the road as they begin to mount. However, if approached head on the cast metal bollards can inflict serious damage to a vehicle.
