Minicab seized and driver arrested for illegal entry into the UK after Visa Application declined
A London private hire vehicle was seized by Kent Police after the driver of the car was arrested for illegal entry into the UK.
The white Hyundai Ioniq was stopped in Ashford, Kent by police officers on Monday 22 November.
Officers at the scene found the driver of the vehicle to have had their Visa application DECLINED in 2019.
The driver was arrested for illegal entry into the UK and was placed in custody awaiting interview.
A Kent Police Ashford spokesperson said via social media: “This vehicle was stopped tonight in Ashford by LPT2. The driver was shown as having their Visa application declined in 2019 and was arrested for illegal entry into the UK.
“The vehicle has been seized and the driver is in custody awaiting interview with Immigration.”
