NOT A TAXI: Nottingham minicab driver handed points and fine for illegally plying for hire



A Nottingham minicab driver was fined and handed points after being found guilty of plying-for-hire.


According to Nottingham City Council (NCC) Licensing, the driver attended court on 3 April for illegally plying with no insurance.

The private hire vehicle (PHV) driver was handed 8 penalty points to his driver's licence and must pay fines and costs totalling £458.

A NCC Licensing spokesperson said: “A PHV driver was at court on 3 April for IPFH (illegally plying-for-hire) and no insurance. He was fined £184, costs £200, Victim surcharge £74 and 8 penalty points on his DVLA driving licence.”
