Out of town taxi and private hire vehicles suspended during Liverpool enforcement operation

Out of town taxi driver reported for plying for hire in Liverpool and for having TWO defective tyres.

Liverpool City Council’s (LCC) licensing enforcement team has reported the taxi driver to Knowsley Council where they are licensed. The vehicle has also been suspended after finding two defective tyres.

During the enforcement operation last night, LCC were joined by Wolverhampton Licensing Authority and Merseyside Police.

The operation also saw two private hire vehicles suspended for illegal tyres. The minicabs were licensed from Knowsley and Sefton respectively.

A further private hire driver was cautioned for incorrectly affixing the vehicle's licence plate with magnets.
