Oxford taxi driver involved in Cowley Road assault as police launch investigation

Police have launched an investigation following reports of an assault involving a taxi driver on Cowley Road in Oxford.


Thames Valley Police confirmed they received the report at around 12.37am. Officers are yet to make any arrests and enquiries remain ongoing.

A police spokesperson said: “We received a report around 12.37am of an assault in Cowley Road in Oxford. No arrests have been made and our investigation is ongoing. We would ask anyone with information to contact us online or via 101 quoting the reference 43250512907.”


The taxi driver involved is believed to hold a licence issued by Oxford City Council.

No further information has been released about the nature of the assault or any injuries.
