Patons Insurance has expanded its workforce with the addition of six new employees across its Liverpool and Manchester offices, as the firm looks to strengthen its position in the specialist taxi and commercial vehicle insurance market.
The independent, family-owned broker confirmed that four of the new recruits will be based at its Liverpool office, located at Unit 9 Connect Business Village on Derby Road. The remaining two hires will operate from the company’s Manchester base, supporting regional growth and service delivery.
In Liverpool, Adam Anderson has been appointed taxi sales manager. He will work alongside sales director Matt Chadwick to integrate the new team and drive sales performance. The company said Anderson brings significant experience in both taxi insurance and sales, which will be key as the broker looks to scale its operations in the sector.
Dean Taylor joins as a taxi sales advisor, bringing 11 years of experience across taxi and commercial insurance lines. Andy Wright also joins the Liverpool team in a similar role, with nearly four years of taxi insurance experience. Christina Cope completes the Liverpool intake, taking up a renewals advisor position with six years of sector experience.

In Manchester, Shylank Mali has been appointed as a taxi sales advisor, bringing three years of experience in taxi insurance. Alan Brown joins as a renewals advisor and contributes more than a decade of experience in the taxi insurance market.
The recruitment drive comes as Patons continues to position itself as a specialist provider for drivers working in the taxi and private hire sectors. The firm’s focus remains on delivering tailored insurance products for professional drivers, a segment that continues to face rising operational costs and evolving regulatory requirements.
Founded in Glasgow in 1957, Patons Insurance has built its core business around taxi insurance but has since diversified into other commercial lines. Its portfolio now includes fleet, motor trade, HGV, minibus and chauffeur insurance, reflecting broader demand from transport operators and small business fleets.
Jo Noonan, Patons operations director, said: “I am thrilled to welcome the guys to our team.
“Bringing in a readymade team of talented individuals is going to build on the foundations we already have in place and allow the business to move forward with its growth plans.”
