Police appeal for information after taxi driver assaulted in Birmingham
Birmingham police have launched an appeal for information after a taxi driver was viciously assaulted by a group in Newtown.
The incident took place on Clive Passage on 4 September, just before 6:30am.
According to reports, the taxi driver was confronted by a group of individuals who physically assaulted him, punching and kicking him before stealing his phone. In an effort to gather more evidence, the police have released an image of the group they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police Birmingham Police said: “Do you recognise these people?
“We think they may be able to help us with our enquiries after a taxi driver was assaulted in Birmingham.
“The incident happened on Clive Passage, Newtown just before 6.30am on 4 September.
“The victim was punched and kicked and his phone was stolen.
