Police catch disqualified driver continuing to drive Transport for London marked private hire car
A man who was disqualified from driving three months ago has been caught by officers continuing to drive his minicab.
The driver was pulled over in Romford, by Metropolitan Police Taskforce, along with a Roads Policing Officer, late on Monday 14 September.
In a tweet posted by the Roads Police Taskforce Officer a white Toyota Prius with Transport for London (TfL) roundels can be seen stopped roadside by two police vehicles.
All TfL licensed private hire vehicles must display an in-date roundel which is used as an identifier for licensed minicabs in the capital.
The Roads Police Taskforce Officer, known as 11ZERO3, wrote: "Just assisted Met Taskforce dogs KO with this Prius PHV in Romford, Havering.
"Its driver was disqualified from driving at court 3 months ago, but has continued driving his minicab regardless. It has now been seized and he will be going back to court."
