A private hire vehicle was pulled over by police after driving in the wrong direction on the M1 motorway.
Police officers from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire (BCH) Roads Policing Unit reported the incident in the early hours on 21 December.
The silver Toyota Prius was found driving northbound on the southbound carriageway of the busy M1 motorway.
It is unclear where the private hire vehicle was licensed and for which operator the driver was working for at this stage.
A spokesperson from the BCH Roads Unit said via social media: “Assisting local officers who found this vehicle, licensed for the carriage of passengers, driving north on the M1. Problem was, he was on the southbound carriageway. The height of professionalism.”
