Police Scotland have released CCTV images of a woman they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries into a serious assault.

The incident occurred last year at around 10.45pm on Saturday 10 July 2021, on Stirling Street, Airdrie.

According to STV sources, a woman received serious facial injuries after being punched in the face while waiting at a taxi rank.

Officers would like to speak to the woman as they believe she may have information which could assist the investigation.

She is described as being aged mid 40s, slim build, long blonde hair and was wearing a white top and black trousers.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Anyone who recognises the woman or anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact Coatbridge CID on 101, quoting incident number 329 of 10 July, 2021.

“Alternatively, please contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously.”
