Police release CCTV image after Cambridge taxi driver injured during assault

A taxi driver in Cambridge suffered minor injuries during an assault in Cambridge city centre prompting an investigation from police.

CCTV images of a man Cambridge Constabulary wish to speak to have now been released.

A police spokesperson said via social media: “We want to speak to him in connection with an assault on a taxi driver in Cambridge.

“The incident took place at just after 7pm on 25 November after the taxi driver, a man in his 40s, picked up two men from Gunhild Close.

“During the journey he was attacked by one of the men in Robinson Way and suffered minor injuries.

“Anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV, or has any information, is urged to contact police via our web chat service: quoting crime reference 35/86242/22, or call us on 101. Always dial 999 in an emergency.”
