Police release CCTV images after man hits woman in face during York Station taxi rank row

British Transport Police officers investigating an assault at York railway station have today released CCTV images, urging people with information to come forward.

At just before 11pm on Saturday 22 May, a man and woman were stood at the taxi rank outside the station when they were approached by two men who said they were getting in the same taxi as them.

An argument then took place before one of the men punched the male victim in the head which also hit the female victim in the face. The two men then ran away from the station.

Officers believe the man in the images may have information which could help their investigation.
