Saber Interactive has announced a new driving simulation title that places players behind the wheel of their own rideshare business, with the game set to launch later this year on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
The new title, Rideshare “Stimulator”, is being developed by UNIGINE and continues Saber Interactive’s expansion within the vehicle simulation genre following releases including SnowRunner, RoadCraft and Bus Bound.
The game focuses on operating a rideshare service in a busy urban environment while balancing customer satisfaction, vehicle maintenance and business growth.
According to Saber Interactive, players will navigate a living city featuring realistic traffic systems, pedestrians, traffic lights and road regulations. Passenger journeys are designed to generate different encounters and conversations on every trip, with the developer saying no two rides should feel the same.
Steve Allison, Chief Business Officer at Saber Interactive, said: “Rideshare ‘Stimulator’ is a fun combination of relaxing and driving simulation gameplay. Saber has had a lot of success in the sim space and we are excited to release something new and different in the category.”
He added: “In Rideshare ‘Stimulator’ players will have exaggerated experiences a real rideshare driver might, or might not, see in real life, rooted in the concept of unpredictability and diverse connections people make every day. Every passenger you pick up is a chance to hear and experience a different story.”
Gameplay centres on building a successful rideshare operation through safe driving, maintaining a clean and reliable vehicle, earning passenger ratings and upgrading vehicles as the business expands. Driver performance, vehicle condition and customer reviews all influence progression, while players must also contend with busy roads and changing traffic conditions.
The city itself draws inspiration from both European and American urban environments, with the developer aiming to create an immersive setting featuring dynamic traffic and pedestrian behaviour. Alongside transporting passengers, players will need to clean and repair their vehicle between fares to maintain customer satisfaction.
The latest game reflects continued growth in the driving simulation market, with developers increasingly exploring professions beyond traditional trucking and bus operations. By focusing on rideshare services and passenger interactions, Saber Interactive is targeting a segment of the transport industry that has received relatively little attention in major simulation titles.
