"PROFESSIONAL DRIVER" of Toyota vehicle hit with points and fine for texting while driving

A "professional driver" has been reported, fined and hit with six points on their licence for texting while driving.
The driver of what appears to be a Toyota Prius, a vehicle which is popular among private hire drivers, was stopped in Hampshire after officers from Hampshire Roads Policing Unit witnessed him texting while driving.
The driver was fined £200 for the offence, and in addition was issued six penalty points on their driving licence.
The driver may now face scrutiny from their licensing authority too.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Professional driver was more interested in texting than looking at the large police car next to him.
"Six points and £200 fine. It's not worth the risk."
