PROS AND CONS: Taxi YouTube influencer explains the 12 pitfalls of becoming a London cabbie

One of the taxi industry’s top social media influencers Tom Hutley runs through some of the pitfalls attached to working as a taxi driver.

After sharing a video explaining why the job as a taxi driver in the capital is a great one, the popular YouTube taxi driver shares a list of some of the more negative aspects attached to the job.

Hutley’s 73,000 followers learnt about the challenging aspects of working unsociable late night hours, working alone without colleagues and no holiday pay. The video covers 12 points in all.

Hutley’s YouTube channel has been a massive hit with viewers ever since it first launched in March 2020. The London black cab driver and qualified taxi guide completed the ‘Knowledge of London’ in 2017 after 3 years of studying. Four years into the job he now has a fast-growing channel on YouTube and has recently launched his own blog.
