Ride-hailing app Taasai aims to make every trip in London green with carbon offsetting scheme

Taasai, a ride-hailing service operating in London, is a transportation technology ecosystem that has been designed to combat environmental problems through the process of carbon offsetting. Since their inception, Taasai say they have made concessions towards carbon offsetting to make every ride green in the UK, and in 2020/21 have been able to offset 13.481 tonnes of CO2.

According to the company, the transportation sector accounts for 28% of CO2 emissions in the air. They say greenhouse gases, fossil fuels, and carbon emissions are responsible for contributing to the ongoing issues of climate change and global warming.
