South Wales Police appeal after multiple taxis set alight and bricks thrown at taxi office


South Wales Police are asking for the public’s help to identify individuals after a number of incidents at a taxi firm’s premises in Swansea.


On 2 June at about 10.30pm two people on a moped threw bricks at the office of Oyster Cabs in Eversley Road, Sketty. Officers from South Wales police force say the moped used was reported stolen, but is still outstanding.

A fortnight earlier on 22 March at about 8.20pm, five of of the cab firm’s taxis were set alight in Mill Lane, Blackpill, and on 20 March there was another fire at a taxi car park in Mill Lane at about 11.05pm.


There has also been damage to another vehicle linked to the firm.


Local policing inspector Andy Harris said: “We are now linking all these crimes and I would strongly urge anyone with information to tell us what they know.”
