Stolen TfL licensed private hire vehicle recovered through collaborative police efforts

A stolen London licensed private hire vehicle (PHV) was successfully located and recovered by dedicated police officers, showcasing the power of teamwork in combating crime.

The incident unfolded when the Metropolitan Police Specials received a tip-off about a stolen vehicle in the Essex area.

After pulling over the Transport for London (TfL) licensed minicab on High Holborn, near the city’s busy West End district, the vehicle was seized.

A Met Police Specials spokesperson said via social media: “Team effort this evening to recovery a vehicle stolen in Essex Police area, it was identified by City of London Police travelling through London, followed and then stopped by #VCTFMSC in Camden. Vehicle seized and enquiries ongoing.”
