Liverpool licensing officers reported a super slick worn tyre found on a Wolverhampton licensed minicab earlier this week.

Liverpool City Council (LCC) officers conducted an operation on Monday (23 January) where they checked several private hire vehicles (PHV) throughout the day.

Officers shared an image of the heavily worn tyre found in use on a City of Wolverhampton licensed PHV.

The driver has been reported for the offence.

An LCC Licensing spokesperson said: “During operation today number of licensed vehicles were inspected including a Wolverhampton PHV found with an illegal tyre.

“Driver was issued a prohibitation notice for vehicle and will be reported for offences. Customer and driver safety is paramount!”
